Hey! I'm Kate.
I grew up in Dover and West York, Pa., and I'm currently rooted in Red Lion, Pa. When I'm not working, I'm an avid antique shopper (specifically for old magazines and books), trail walker, coffee shop enthusiast, candle and plant collector, dog lover, and book lover.

I have two degrees from Kutztown University: a B.S. in Professional Writing and a B.A. in Social Media Theory and Strategy. I've always enjoyed aspects of written and visual content, and being a social media manager and content creator blends both.
Throughout college, I was avid in getting involved with publications on campus, including The Keystone Newspaper and Her Campus at Kutztown. In summer of 2019, I was a writing intern for Study Breaks Magazine where I wrote articles pertaining to popular culture and current trends.

My career as a social media manager sprouted in 2018 when I began managing social media accounts for the Kutztown University College of Business. In 2019, I landed a social media internship with Women in Technology International (WITI) where I became their social media manager. Now, I'm making the leap to found and own Melder Media.
About Melder Media.
My Vision & Supporting Local

I founded Melder Media in early August of 2020 to help small businesses and nonprofits in York, Pa. thrive and build community with their social media presence. Growing up in York, I've always appreciated and adored the small businesses that have popped up and evolved over the years.

After graduating college in December of 2019, I had a vision to create a social media management and content creation business that was affordable for small businesses and nonprofits that were local to where I grew up. That vision has transformed into Melder Media.

Melder Media covers five elements: social media management, content creation, writing, branding, and social media community management. For more about my services, click here.
